Just back from my 1st 9 holes walking for 3 months due to crappy health. Man, it felt sooo good to be out there with the grass under my feet.

Played Roundhay in Leeds cos it's nice and short and an easy introduction. Greens were a bit dodgy - need a month to bed in - but I didn't care.

considering I was also incorporating 3 swing changes and trying basically an entirely new bag I'm more than happy with 4 pars, a tap in birdie, 2 bogies and 2, um, trebles (oops). Just getting round was a triumph in itself.

Off work from Wednesday and not going back until next Wednesday. Golf all the way. Going to Wentworth (might be caddying in the BMW pro-am) and then playing with Viscount17 on Thursday, whole day at the club Friday and then got a competition over the bank holiday (two rounds over any of the three days - Saturday to Monday). Off to Charing Cross hospital Tuesday morning with HID and if all goes well with her should get back in time for a game Tuesday PM
