Ok so we lost to Sheffield Utd last night, but this guy has done more for Huddersfield than any manager i can remember in recent times....the entire coaching staff has been sacked as well.

after the loyalty Lee showed to our club ( refused Leicester job) and the fact that he managed to keep hold of Jordan Rhodes, I think this is one of the strangest decisions I have ever known.....will wait to see what comes out in the wash......who is next for us?.......Neil Warnock maybe?

Absolute Madness IMHO
Good young up - and - coming Talented Manager ...... and a Geordie Too , ha
But Seriously, I just dont get it
Do they think he couldnt take them any further.....??

we were...sort of.......I think we should have already been in one the automatic promotion positions, but we get too many draws and last night losing was one of the most frustrating games I can remember losing at home...a win would have put in 2nd place.

They need to bring in someone who gets us automatic promotion now or I don't think the fans will ever forgive the board.

Something going on behind the scenes anyhow , Loyalty is a scarce commodity in football these days , poor reflection on the board ..

Perhaps Forest will take him and sack off the second Steve this season! We need something, time is running out to avoid relegation.

Strange decision to let him go! Sounds like the way it was dealt with was a bit bizarre too.

Read about this this afternoon , can not understand why Huddersfield sacked them all, you would think they have someone in the frame already to take over. I would happily see him go to Forest , but at the moment who in there right mind would want that job.

Good point. But it's the same core of players that went to the play-offs last year. I really don't understand how things can change so drastically in the last 9 months. I don't think I can take us playing in League 1 again.

Very strange decision. I thought he was doing really well? There must be more to this than meets the eye.

Trivia fact - I played against him twice as a kid. He was the best player on the pitch in both games.

I guess the argument is that despite having had a few yrs and plenty of resources he hasnt managed to improve them from a mid table position much. Clearly the board feel that if he stayed in charge they would just miss out on promotion again so worth rolling the dice with someone else (and you have to assume that they have someone in the frame already)

I know mate, we still have 9 of those players left , but if you believe reports Lewis could be going on loan to Southampton and Raddy to Reading. Things could be getting much worse.

I was at the match last night and was as disappointed as any of the Town fans with the lost 3 points.
We had lots of chances, Rhodes' volley hit the post, one saved off the line. Their keeper pulled off a magnificent save from a close range header. Unlucky not to draw or win last night.

However, the team were very static, very poor midfield, Sheffield's movement on and off the ball had us in a tiz for much of the game.
Clark's inspired substitution - bring on a full back and play him in midfield! He's changed the team around so much that many of the players no longer know where they're supposed to play anymore!
Many games he's persevered with drab, boring football at the Galpharm and changed nothing, preferring to watch us scrape a draw to some, quite frankly crap teams.

Rumours abound that his sacking had nothing to do with football? Don't know about that so cannot (and will not) comment. He's also allegedly been seen at Elland Road!!!

He did well for Town but our capitulation at the Play Off Final is one still talked about even with our low loss results this season. He's also spent a fortune over the years he's been at Town, yet we're still in the same division and looking at the playoffs.......... again!!!

I'd like to see Neil Warnock back at Town. He had the passion and know how to get the best out of a team. The fans loved him as well.

Or there's been a major falling out between Management and Board - Major falling out.

Can't see the point in sacking now with the transfer window closed. Any new manager will still have to work with what he's got.

Maybe Wycombe will sack their Manager and Clark can go there....

Seems a strange decision, but to sack the whole coaching staff makes it sound like there may be more to this than meets the eye. It is a difficult league to get out of the 1st division, and teams that do get promoted such as Southampton and Brighton generally do well in the Championship.

On Sky sports website he is favourite for Leeds job now. If this is the case though why sack him and have to pay him up for the remainder of his contract surely wait for him to quit and have a replacement lined up, seems a funny carry on to me. Still have him at the Spireites though :)

Seems a bit of a knee jerk reaction. Playoff final last year (think nerves got hold), a record breaking unbeaten run, currently 4th. Not exactly panic stations. Surely he deserved the chance to run with it and see if you could nick an automatic promotion spot or win via the payoffs. Lot of time for the guy. Met him a few times when he played for Fulham
