I was in Australia over Christmas and watching a PGA tournament in Hawaii LIVE although it was really happening the day before!!!

Just to emphasise what a rip-off our sky coverage of sports is - Foxtel the Aussie equivalent of sky- broadcasts every single premiership match from the UK. Think I might emigrate, especially if the weather misbehaves again this summer.

wierd is quite weird!
Oz- spent a year there, was great for a year but no longer. The only good thing going for it is the weather for a while, it's too cut off, too colloquial, their sports are awful and the sense of hunour is too basic for us Brits. Most of the Ozzie stereotypes are actually true. You'll tire of Oz (nobody wants to go to the beach every day after a couple of weeks) and the heat quickly, especially as you get older. Great place for a holiday though!
If you are looking for better climes I'd say head for France, Spain or US, far more going for them culturally than Oz...seriously.

Im off to Sorrento this year, going for a friends wedding then staying on for few days.

For next year im still working on the Mrs to hire a camping van and drive around France stopping off in all the different wine districts.

I lived in Spain for a year or so and loved it, the only downside is in the summer the heat gets to you, its great for a two week holiday but when you are in 35+ heat day in and out for three months its not so nice, specially when you have to work in it, then again decent golf weather all year round would be nice.

Ive been to sorrento bloody gorgeous place only time i have ever been to italy and loved it no golf though need to go back god i need a holiday!!! lol all

Now that's what I call a good plan. Where did you look for that sort of thing? hire the camper here or there? space for a half-set or two?

I nearly bought an old Mitsubishi Delica to do that kind of trip but bottled out.

I think I could live in Italy - its got food, beautiful scenery, passionate people and they get a decent summer. That's all I ask for - enough sunshine so I could wear a polo shirt in June to play golf rather than my Galvin Green's.
