It's persisting it down here in Stoke at the minute.

I have my waterproofs packed and I'm off for 9 holes as soon as I finish work

I don't mind getting wet or playing in the wind. No sense, no feeling and all that :mmm:

Constant rain here all morning but brightening up now so its off to the range this afternoon at The Warwickshire where I have not been before.

Use a big stick and shout go away nasty rain!
Seriously though it stopped raining here in Cornwall at about half 9 this morning and we have even seen the s*n.

I got soaked again yesterday but at least the constant wind had died down somewhat. It is just getting a bit tiresome now!

Got the Club Championships this Saturday (36 holes).

At present the BBC Weather website is stating:

Forecast Summary
Outlook for Friday to Sunday
Remaining unsettled with a mixture of bright or sunny spells and scattered heavy showers or thunderstorms.

Waterproofs will be packed & plenty of spare clothing too.

Which course are you/did you play? A group of us play every year and booked for 8th August this year. Usually play both but have to play the same one twice this year as there is a comp on! Both van be tricky although one is abit more open than the other!

I played the kings in a tight deal about £12 was amazing value and a very nice course quite a nice mix of challenging shots and easier options. Only thing I was not do keen on was some of the walks between tees. But well worth a visit I believe the other course to be a bit longer and more of a slog. Sure you'll enjoy the day though :)

I only went to the range as they have excellent practice facilities compared to my club.

Great courses, you'll love it.

Got back from china this morning. Gone from 40 degrees to this? Could see the rain trailing over the wing as we came in to land. Home, shower, change, golf. In the drizzle. Wasn't that bad. Even played some decent golf at times. Finished birdie, birdie, par. Solid.

We've played it a couple of times now and really like it. Very long walks between though as you said! £12 is a great deal! We pay £60 for bacon cob & coffee, buggies, lunch and 36 holes. Good deal I think for this standard of course. Def need the buggies for 36 holes! Can never remover which course is which though! Think we are playing the one that goes round the back near the gym etc, where the hole play over the lake, 180 yards of carry!
