Not sure really but I like to play up to 3 times a week in summer. I think I may just keep a tally this year , could be interesting to keep track just to see reality compared to the target in my head
I don't play at all between October and early April (unless overseas somewhere warm), and I probably play once every 2 weeks at my club in the rest of the year, with maybe another 6 or 7 games elsewhere. Family, work etc.
Because I play so little, I focus on club competitions, so of the approx. 15 rounds I will play at my club, only 1 or 2 will not be competitions. May also get a game or two on holiday or on business trips to the US. Will also have a lunchtime range session each week in summer at a range near work.
I usually start the season playing rubbish, get a bit better and hit my peak at the end of the season. Have managed to keep my handicap where it is with relatively little play.
Bloody hell! Doesn't anybody work?
That's an average of 3 a week on your home track with some others thrown in???
During the week I get to play once a fortnight, and with family commitments I guess every other Sunday is about the norm.
That gives me a total of approx 50 rounds of golf througout the year!!
No wonder my handicap is creeping up
