How many sets of clubs does a tour pro use in a season?

I was reading an article about Roger Federer and it states that Roger uses about 150 frames in a season. That means changing racket every other day basically. I wonder what they do with the rackets afterwards...

Does anyone know how often a pro changes his clubs?

Generally they don't change their irons too often, maybe just once in a year. They will only change driver or woods if they are struggling or if a new product is launched and that gives them an improvement over their current equipment. The main area of change is the wedges, the pro's practice a lot with their wedges and therefore wear them out fairly quickly and most have new ones every couple of months or so. Some use the old ones to practice and put the new ones in the bag for tornament play.

Does the finish not ware off the forged irons rather quick with pros? I have seen a few sets of clubs on ebay from junior pros where the face is almost copper on the sweet spot.
