How many players do you get in your comps, and how much do you win.It depends for us what competition it is,but because we only have 200 members we really struggle to get 20 per comp. One of the reasons is we have 3 seperate members sections, the vets, the cat 1 and the general. And the cat 1[the club team members]dont enter unless its a team comp that they have a chance of winning[a contentious issue]they have there own hustle so dont enter[doesnt support club]to be perfectly honest our club is struggling bigtime. We have just lost 6 regulars from our group of 24.If you win a comp you basically win £20 if you enter sweep about the same sometimes more.I dont know what the club can do but its not looking good. How does your club fair, and do you have any problems like we have.

We had 141 in our big competition last Sunday. Not sure what the winner received but quite a lot i imagine.

I came second in a comp last year with an entry of about 100, and won the sweep as the winner was a junior. Won a total of £150 which was not bad. ;)

We have between 70-110 for our medals and the results are split into 3 categories. The winner of each category receives 50 or 60 quid.

We have about 50-70 for most medals and maybe up to 100 for the stablefords and most division winners will get between £20-40 depending ont he field. We've a big event this weekend which is an individual winner takes all affair and so I reckon there'll be about £80 up for grabs.

We had 95 on Saturday and 62 on Sunday. Both days were about 10-20% down on the norm due to the Easter weekend

No idea what a weekend winner gets but there's usually about £70-£100 in the sweeps money.

We get 110 registered and usually a waiting list of 30 - there's over 700 members, but the club don't know how many of them are still alive or not, let alone how many are still in the country.

Usually big trophies, 3 woods and rescue clubs for the winners.

I only play Midweek Comps (sometimes!) and the firld is usually fairly small. 20-30 tops will play in the 3 divisions and that means about 20 quid up for grabs with about 7 or 8 for a 2nd place.
Midweekers are allowed to play the Club Champs and this probably attracts over 100.
The majority of the Members at my place don't play Comps - they're just there to play their Golf as a Social thing.

entry fees for comps are not high so prizes aren't that high either; ours still does trophies and medals. though there was some talk of switching to vouchers I don't think that many went for it.

never played in a club major so don't really know the size of the field. seniors medals usually get 50+.

We get 70-80 normally for a qualifier, as low as 30-40 for socials sometimes. Prizes are about £25 per division (or so I've heard).

Around 175 per comp. They are always over subscribed. Prize money is about £70 in cash and £50 on the bar card.

If it's a board comp, the top 16 go into a match play knockout.

It's not easy getting on a board.
