Driving through town today having a steady plod. Road was wet and am in chill mode. Next thing a young girl 16-18 decides to cross the road at a crossing when the lights are on green. She is oblivious to what's going on coz she is on the soddin phone. I hit the brakes, abs kicks in and she then realises what's goin off. She does half a skip and just jumps out the road.
Words come out of my mouth that I kiss my mother with, she would not of been happy with me, neither would that girl who I hit.
 
Almost hit a cyclist the other day who rode out of a side road without stopping, no hands on the bike, music on headphones and texting on his phone. And he had the nerve to stop and scream at me. Not a rant about cyclists, just someone shortly to depart this life via the 2018 Darwin Awards.
 
Odd thing was PS, we went to pick up Missis Ts car after a service and mot. Driving down to a staggered junction and a tranny van is reversing in front of me.He then pulls alongside a car who is turning right, I though he was in the wrong lane and going straight on. Road is clear so van pulls out and turns right and cuts straight in front or car and driver gives two fingers to the car driver. How the heck they missed each other al never know.
 
Just been on morning breakfast re people on there phones and being in Zombie mode, a guy had txt in and said he nearly knocked over a woman who was on her phone yesterday whilst crossing the road.
It wasn't me that txt in.
 
I am still alive thanks to a mate of mine when I was a teenager, I just walked off the pavement straight in the path of a car and he dragged me back just in the nick of time. No smartphones in those days just stupid idiots on occasions.
