I think it's more the taking advantage at a time when the area is suffering
End of the day its just stuff, no sentimental value, no one hurt, golf gear, my parents were robbed and mums engagement ring was stolen from her bedroom. that is way worse than a bunch of shirts from a retail store.
It happens daily to someone, i have owned stock in the past, if it was nicked, it was insured and stock is only there to be turned into cash it has no sentimental value.
BTW. We managed to recover the ring it was at a Cash Converters !
As far as the impact of a crime goes this one does not register highly.
