Honda civic service costs

Posted this previously in the random irritations thread but more info has come to light on the Honda forums.

1 litre civic has a cam belt and this is recommended for change at the 6yr/75K interval at an eye watering £1800 quid.
They guys on the forum have found out that the 6 year service is also a major service so overall youre looking at a bill closer to £3K .

Expect to see the car market flooded with 1 litre civics in a few years time

I'm still 2 years out , won't get to the mileage before then.
likely to trade in after next year's service.
Guys in the forum have been asking around and cam belt change is around £1300 independently. They're also saying most of cost will be Labour at around £120/hr.

The 1.5 litre is a cam chain so no issues there, the 1 litre is a belt so it in the realms of a must do.
