I see the EU are discussing opening for tourism. They suggest There may be temperature checks, health test clearance and immunity certificates required. Bit of an issue as the virus test are only valid on the day tested and the jury is still out on whether antibodies given immunity.

There is a suggestion many people will not want to travel even when restrictions are lifted.

There are some very good deals would you be looking to book and how far ahead?

Cant even think about it right now.

Family holiday in October, golf trip in November and then another family holiday next April.

I’d like to think April is safe. So far it’s only flights paid for anyways as hotels and villas are Pre booked with free cancellation. The prices made it worth a punt.

Have a weeks holiday booked in France from 6th June this year. Renting a Gite with a lake, we're hoping it still goes ahead but have kinda resolved ourselves to the fact that it's probably not going to. We have got to know the Gite owner quite well over the last few years, and she has offered us an alternative date for next year should this one not go ahead, so not the end of the world.
Have also booked, (and paid for in full), a two week holiday to the Dominican Republic with TUI next May for the wife's 50th. Here's hoping that the World is back to normality by then! My main concern is whether TUI manage to ride the storm....:(:(:(
Haven't taken out travel insurance as of yet, it seemed too early, but ATOL protection should (should) cover us financially should TUI go under, shouldn't it? (unless anyone knows differently). The whole package (flights/hotel) were booked via them.

We've had cancellations for several things already including our Alaska cruise due quite soon. We're quite expecting a few days we've booked with our son, daughter in law and the grand children in Cornwall to be cancelled in July and the only holiday which just might survive is Cyprus in late September but, like Smiffy said, let's hope the agents dont go under !

Had 3 holidays cancelled already due to COVID.

the next big holiday is at the end of September to the US, for the Ryder Cup, and also in the process of booking to go to Dubai early next year.

have a weekend away in July which is probably touch and go if it goes ahead

We have a week in the Peloponnese region booked second week June. Would like to think it’ll go ahead but have resigned ourselves to it not. Then a week in Valencia and area second week October. More hopeful for that, but again our expectations are that it won’t.

We've a Villa booked for 2 weeks in Spain early August. Very much hoping that is possible but am resigned to the thought its not likely to happen.

We have a week booked in Holland at the beginning of August. I expect flights will be happening, the accommodation available but how easily will it be to move around, how relaxed will everywhere be? Will it feel like a holiday or will we be on eggshells for a week?

We were actually talking about this yesterday, do we cut our losses, see if we can move the booking until the following year or just plough on? We are not sure at this moment, we will wait and see how the next month unfolds.

If we had not booked at this point then I definitely would not be booking abroad this year. I would be tempted to book in the UK though as I expect demand will rocket once we start to open up again and people decide not to travel far this year.

Got a week of golf booked last week in May in Ireland. 4 weeks away at the moment, if the courses reopen then still a VERY small chance it will go ahead but not really expecting it to. Not sure how I stand financially as the flights and hotels were all booked individually as I will be travelling around playing different courses.

Already cancelled and missed a trip to Japan in March, and Lufthansa still not yet paid me the full refund for 4 tickets they promised. Next weeks trip to Dornoch is cancelled, got a full refund from Airbnb, paid within two days of cancelling last week. Just deciding whether to cancel the vacation days at work, or take the time off - depends on whether I can pick up some decking timber to make use of the time repairing the deck. My lad had is internship at Nantucket cancelled, which in turn negates our summer plans.

One golf trip booked and planned for early September. Flights paid along with deposit to Golfbreaks, hoping this one is still doable, and yes I will go if the situation allows. Hope we can re-arrange the Dornoch visit as we still need to clear the boys stuff out of his uni accommodation for the summer. Also hope by then that courses are open and we can re-plan Brora, Golspie, RDGC and Gleneagles.

Had a golf weekend in Paris cancelled and we’ve rearranged our holiday for early June to next year.
Hopefully our week away in the caravan in September will be ok.

I'm supposed to be in the Canary Islands at the present time. Booo....

A UK golf trip booked for end of May has just been cancelled. We'd got a villa booked in France for the end of June - but like everyone else, not now expecting it to happen. Even if we can go, there not much point if bars & restaurants aren't properly open . Also got 4 weeks in Spain booked over Christmas (just round the corner from Hobbit's place). Hopeful that that will still be a goer.

"TALKS"of courses here opening early mid May ..
Possibly only for members to avoid players from NI travelling south or west to play as NI possibly still be in lock down.GUI covers 32 counties but the 6 counties abide by UK govt ..
All rumour and speculation at min hopefuly know more by Sat/Sun ..
Where are u headed

Have flights booked for end August to go to Australia to see both our sons who live out there and more importantly our first grandchild who is due in 4 weeks time but not sure we will get there and if we do what restrictions we will be under! Australia so far seems to be getting off relatively very lightly with the virus so hoping that continues and maybe we will get out but we have half accepted we probably won’t be there until 2021.
