I love this game

strangly Imurg isnt a happy bunny, I reckon another driver experiment by the end of the month.

Just dont mention the drive that went sideways (to be fair, he did recover very well to get par)

Unfortunately CVG was not available to witness this humiliation as he is stuck in italy owing to the Volcano.

Are you related? I ask because i'm trying to get my brother to start playing and my gut feeling is that he wont because he doesnt like losing.......I even gave him the truth about handicaps hoping that would swing it

Credit where it's due.
It was the Day of the Fragger.
Pace of play was criminal. Just over 4 hours for a 2 ball. 4-balls all over the place not letting anyone through and a Society booked on competition day just made my mood blacker.

But I did play appallingly badly. The aforementioned drive on 16 actually went no more than 150 yards forward but about 120 yards sideways! Don't ask - I just don't know. However, 1 solid 5 wood followed by an equisite 8 iron and a 15 foot putt secured the par and 3 points.
Fragger's score was better mainly due to the putting and lack of real duff shots.
I, on the other hand, duffed plenty and could have used my driver for a putter - it would have made no difference.

But heed this.

You gonna get your butt kicked so hard next time!

I beat a mate of mine for the first time on Monday after 2 years of trying. He was not best pleased and as it was just the two of us he is denying to to everyone.

Beat him by five shots too :D

He'll kick my arse next time though, he is very very competative where as I am happy improving my own score.
 
I have a question: we'll take this as the starting point as phil's only just started playing 'properly' with membership, competitions and handicap etc. How many more posts will Imurg make before Phil beats him? answers on a postcard to:
