Have read a few things about Hogans secret but nowhere have I found what it was. Some people say they found it but dont say what it was. Anyone here any ideas or even harzard a guess? And its not dont eat yellow snow before anyone trys that... :p

So far Hogan has had about 12 secrets. Rolling the forarms, inverting the elbows, funny grip (which he never did), flattening the wrist....the list goes on, and on and on.

If you want to swing like Hogan then just make sure you get into this position at the top of your backswing... :D

Note specifically the right leg which maintains it's angle as it was in the set-up (the hip hasn't moves towards his right foot at all). The flex in the left knee and also the spine tilt 10° away from the target (with a driver).

Do you think his swing would work with modern equipment?

Looking at the still above you don't see any modern pros in that position at top of backswing I don't think.
Swing looks very flat and mst players would be more upright and retain some flex in the right knee.

Tremendous power from such a little man however.

I think it would work just fine with any equipment. Remember this is Hogan's swing post accident where he had to make adjustments for a crippled body. Although saying that many say it was his finest swing as his rare appearences on tour resulted in almost perfect tee to green golf only hampered by his eye injury/putting problems.

Check out this guy if you think it couldn't work today. Matt Love is a very good Texan pro. Matt Love
