Back home from the H4H day, including my round with Peter Finch (suffering hugely with a cold bug - probably man flu at least) and Rick Shiels along with SteveW86. Three nicest blokes you couldn't wish to enjoy a round with. Highlight has to be Peter driving the 16th and makking eagle. Steve and I were in and out and both had brief spells where we looked like golfers and I even managed two birdies in my 32 points

However that wasn't the point. It was another great day, organised expertly by Rick G, Richart and Fish. Of course we all know the former was cruelly taken from us a few short weeks back but it was a cause close to his heart he worked passionately for each year and to date we raised £12k on the day with more to come

What I'd like to say though more than anything is thank you not only to Mike Harris and GM for their support but to Richart and his wife and Fish for all their work but more importantly their beautiful and moving words about Rick, followed by both Mike and Sandy from Go Kart.

It was simply yet another brilliantly run day (thanks also to Camberley Heath for their help, everything was spot on) and was supported by old and new faces who I think all had a great time. I hope everyone gets home safely and if you've never been on a GM meeting please put this in your diary once the 2017 date is released. You won't regret it.

Another superb day despite a sudden and rapid dip in form from yesterday! Lowlights being 9 blobs today, including the first four in a row - and the fourth was on 16, where i had a shot and was on the green in regulation!!! I am sure Rick was looking down in hysterics! Golf highlights were all yesterday where the mighty Lancs (Karl and myself - born in Preston :D), beat the much fancied Mankie twosome (Iain and Andy) with the last put of the day - but it was great to see Iain ace the 14th with a brilliant 9 iron that looked in the hole as soon as it left his bat. H4H is a great cause and is a fitting day for everyone to remember Rick - lots and lots of hard work from Rich, Robin, Vicky, Mike and several others. I know there were thoughts that this may be the last one, but i hope we all have the energy and drive to continue this for years to come and have a giggle about the very many fun times we all shared with Rick and support a great charity for our wounded servicemen/woman that have an ongoing need for funds.

Not being able to attend this year I'm glad to hear it went well. Wandering around BeWILDerwood with 3 kids and 6 grandchildren just wasn't quite the same...abounds like the organisation and club all worked well; good job chaps!

Looking forward to next year

Another who couldn't make it due to work commitments, the kicker was I needed to be in Camberley all day so the day was never far from my thoughts. Sounds like the day was highly successful and a fitting tribute to RickG...and what a contribution to HFH!

Have any photos surfaced yet?
