Hi just joined the forum and I thought I would say hello.

I have just starting to play again after many years, as I have just taken early retirement, I have bought some clubs, some can be very expensive, can't they, I am trying to presuade myself its worth spending nearly £200 for a driver, I was never very good with one when I used to play before.

Just applied to join a local club, can't wait to get on a course instead of a driving range.

I havve been reading a few threads, especially the one about slow pay and chatter of ladies, to be honest I am quite competitive and so want to play golf not spend hours chatting, plenty of other places to do that.

Anyway, I am sure I will post more in the future, i like a good forum.

Before commiting to a new driver, take a look in the for sale section on here, always adriver or three up for grabs, not worth shelling out on a new shiny if your just starting out imo
