Head covers for Irons

they're good if you have some really [****] irons, personally not for me, shouldnt be worried about your irons getting marked in your bag when your smacking stones in bunkers and fairways with them

Had them on my clubs until yesterday and finally ditched them. They were just too much trouble and also I was starting to lose them one by one

I use them.

For no other reason than my irons are very soft and they'll dent easily so I protect them with headcovers.

They do look a bit knobby though.. :o

This is my point exactly. I'm trawling the net to see if my TM R7 irons are forged or cast (I have the feeling they are cast). If they are cast I'll ditch the covers, Forged, I'll keep em

wise choice mate, but saying that they are useful on a sunday morning for keeping the noise down when the heads a bit fragile

I've got forged irons and thought the head covers would be a good idea, what a waste of money!

Much more trouble than they're worth, so you might get a few minor dings from bag chatter but I'm yet to be convinced about this. I can't see how it can happen unless you carry and throw your bag around or hurl your clubs back into your bag.

I use these fellas, look grand, no noise and protect my forged irons.

i take it all back, flash git :D mine were black with the strings thru them reminded me of my old school coat with the attached mittens

I've had head covers on my MP58's since the day I got them - just over a year ago.
Over 100 rounds plus practice and they still look good - ok not new but they certainly don't look 100+ rounds old.
Worth every penny.

I had them because of the clatter while carrying, then lost the sw one! Then got really fed up putting on and off thought sod it I'd rather listen to them banging about!

Before sunday I was fully in the "iron head covers are for knobs" corner, but having seen IMurg's MP-58's that are protected by his (awesome looking) Mizzy neoprene iron covers, I would definitely buy a set if I had a new set of forged irons.

They don't look new, but they're not far off! Definitely a wise investment.
