Has anyone got any experience of courses around Crewe?

As the title suggests, I am looking for club with good practice facilities ( by that I mean I can use my own practice balls) , well drained, 18 holes minimum, well maintained ( regional qualifier course for county games would be nice) . Erm and let's you change your shoes in the car park .... ;)

Wychwood Park is imo one of the best DeVere type courses you can play. Always in good nick during summer and it hosts europro tour or challenge tour (cant remember which) events......can be a 5 hour round though if you get on at the wrong time, that said, ive never had a problem

What about private members clubs? Do you know about any of those?
Have not played it for years but Crewe GC I remember as quite good.
I recall the practise ground is right next to the car park.
A traditional members club which ,of course will not suit every one on this Forum.
Played Wychwood and it is a tough challenge physically, longwlks between tees etc.Probably my age!!!!!!
