Really? well I will beg to differ, but I dont think he will get a pick anyway, which is shame. I will be very interested to see who Monty picks though. Going to be tough against some of those american young guns!! lol

McIlroy born to it? He froze in the Walker cup, on home turf at RCD. Not true. Be interesting to see how he does it in the pro ranks. Can't do worse.

Pick experienced heads? Porridge? Experienced at losing. Can't see why you need him in the team.

I think Mcilroy will be ok now murph, especially with some good people round him now, jp (caddy) and a few pro mates like Mcdowell.

I agree about Harrington, his match play record is not great, and if he aint playing well, why pick him!

I really would like to see Davies there, Molinari and Casey.

Dont like rose that much and wouldnt pick him, and dont think that the course would suit donald as it is more a bombers course so I heard. I also wouldnt mind seeing Quiros as I think he would be interesting to play againt the americans, wouldnt be too often that someone puts the ball past dustin johnson!!

Whats all the fuss over Davies?

I watch most of the golf and I cant say that he has ever made a huge impression on me.

If it wasnt in wales I think the pro-davies drum would be banged a lot more quietly but for some reason a lot of people seem to want him in as the token welshman as the RC is in wales.

From Monty's stint commentating today. He put a lot of emphasis on length so I think Donald may miss out and Casey in.
Could see him picking a Quiros or E Molinari, not both.
And Rose. Don't think Harrington has played well enough and doesn't have a cracking RC record

The ryder qualifying tables make interesting reading:
Harrington 8th on world list and 11th in euro list.
Casey 11th in world list and 10th in euro list.
Donald 5th in world list and 14th in euro list.
Rose 9th in world list and 69th in euro list.
Molinari 6th in world list and 16th in euro list.
Combining the tables:
Harrington 19, Casey 21, Donald 19, Rose 75, Molinari 22.
So Harrington, Casey and Donald should get the picks.
If Harrington is playing as badly as a lot of people believe he would not be as high up both tables.
