I had to buy a round tonight!!

Never thought it would happen and feel like i have been punched in the stomach from shouting that loud.

Elevated green meant that i never had the pleasure of watching it roll in.

I struck a cracking PW slightly right of the pin (back centre). When i got up there i could not find the ball and thought i had put it long.

My mate Chris (who has just joined this forum i think) says

"Its in the hole" whilst looking in the pot.

I say

"don't be a door handle"

He says

It is in the "flipping" hole

I say

"Chris, don't be %^$&"

He says

"have a "flipping" look yourself"

I wander over slowly and there it is staring back up at me. I kid you not that the Smiley face it had been marked with by its previous owner (Srixon Soft feel Lake ball) was grinning right at me

I like that hole although i was usually knackered after hacking up the 14th then climbing up to the tee.

Not played it for a few years. i will have to have another go at it now Im playing better...

I am still on cloud nine today

At work i have been walking around like the guy from the Thompson all inclusive advert high five'ing everybody :whoo:

The highlight was telling HID what her hapless golfing husband achieved.

She said to me very straight faced "that's nice". I replied "that's nice?????, is that all you are going to say??!!!"

She then said that she thought i got hole in ones all the time...........

Only after i had taken my Drive and 5w approach on the Par 5 16th!

When i watched my approach land just short of the green (and avoid the water to the right and thick cabbage on the left) did i realise what i was doing. A cold chill hit me when i realised what a twonk i had just been.

Was put straight in the bag after i holed out.

Sitting in the dining room shelves at the moment. I had to put HID's faberge egg in the cupboard to make room for the the more valuble item

No pies im afraid. Just a pint of Disco pee pee in the Balcarres in Aspull.

Best pint i have ever had.................it was gopping actually, but you get my drift ;-)
