HANDICAP QUESTION PLEASE

Played in a club tuesday stableford comp this week.. Had 36pts , tees were forward & greens have been hollowtined..
SSS-70 CSS-69.. i got .1 back for 36pts , raging i was .. does this sound right ?.. 43 won it & good few scores in high 30 & low 40's.... the GD (gross differental) was 12 so i take it then that css for this comp was equal to 39pts .. should you at any time get .1 back having played to your handicap .. doesnt affect my playing handicap (8.8 to 8.9)in any way .. Thoughts Please ..

Just checked Golfnet & it said Par 72... is it in relation to par or css tho ??

Par 72, SSS 70, CSS 69, buffer is from 72 to 70, so you miss buffer by one, so up 0.1.
