Off to Hamburg in a couple of weeks with the better half!

Never been to Germany in my life so very excited!

Anyone been to Hamburg before and have any reccomendations/tips?

Well apparently the reeperbahn has there own 'erotic' christmas markets.

Went there back in the early 80's as a 20 yr old to a beer festival and " stumbled" upon the Reeperbahn. Lordy flippin Lordy. Cannot understand why I have not been back. Apart from the cultural Amsterdam 😜

Apart from what’s been previously mentioned
Really great place, loads to see and do, Christmas market will be full on.
Try the food, tastes entirely different to the “German” food they sell over here.
If you’re only going for a weekend you won’t fit it all in,
Wrap up warm, enjoy the nightlife, the town is a great night out.

The days of The Star Club and later the Salambo. Dragged out of the Star Club in the late sixties by the old man after a night of Jimi Hendrix and later taken to the Salambo as a fresh face nig in the 70's.

Unforunatly now no more but there is plenty to see and stay up late for around St Pauli

Can't do Hamburg without having a harbour tour. If you are an early riser take in the fish market as well.

Hamburg's Christmas market is quite nice. And it is one of the better shopping cities in Germany.

Reeperbahn, Hamburg game if at home, although quite a bit outside the city.

Go to St. Pauli if your a fashionista, as also close to the reeperbahn.

There was a good maritime museum, if your into that. Been there a few times with work for a big exhibition (no not Everton).
