We've all heard about the nightmare in Haiti and just wondered what your club are doing to help the relief effort.
Here's what one of the richest clubs in the world are doing.

Taken from the Unicef website...

"Manchester United have reached out to their supporters by putting our appeal banners on their website. Manchester United are also running collections at their upcoming home matches".

I would have thought Man united had been collecting enough from their supporters over the years to be able to make a handsome donation on their behalf, but I welcome any help for Haiti. I dont know what our club is doing for it, but it wont make any difference to me and the way I help various things, in truth I think it will take a lot of physical aid and a GDP of a healthy western country to sort out its problems.

You know, you just hope the aid sent gets through to those who need it.
Tales have been told already of unscrupulous bast**ds (I make no apologies) lifting aid and selling it on for vast profit.

We saw it all happen before in Ethiopa. The starving many denied by the few. Corrupt government, warring factions hell bent on civil war don't help relief matters.

Haiti at best is still a pretty lawless country. The looting started almost immediately after the disaster occurred. Maybe due to the vast majority of the population living in poverty and oppression. A harsh statement maybe, but that's just my observation.
Natural disasters are traumatic events that prick the worlds conscience.

I couldn't agree more if every premiership footballer gave just one days wages that would make one heck of a total, but hey that aint gonna happen so why not ask the supporters to give a donation on top of the £50.00 per ticket that they already pay. Then the clubs can send this money off with a note that say's "with love from Manchester/liverpool/arsenal football club etc." and get all of the credit.

You don't know that the pro footballers haven't donated. They probably have but just not advertised it.

The fund stands at £60,000,000 I believe, that's the equivalent of £1 per person in the UK. Someone, somewhere has made some large donations...
