Fortunately where I am we missed the worst of it. The Mrs told me last night that they were only the size of ice cubes

Searching for stuff about it last night I came across this picture, showing what they had in Hinckley.
Car windscreens, greenhouses, car bodywork all took a lot of damage.

Can't say I'd fancy one of these on the bonce either!

Very scarey conditions Gaz.
Have seen several videos on youtube from in and around Hinckley, the size and severity of the hail was unbelievable. There were also reports of Tornado's in and around the East Mids, with video footage from Sleaford in Lincs.I'm pretty certain i seen the beginnings of a Tornado yesterday lunchtime whilst walking my dogs.Very dark heavy wall cloud, with torrential rain and small hail, and constant rumble of thunder. There was clear rotation on the outside edge of the cloud, and the beginnings of a funnel, unfortunately i lost sight of it after a few minutes as the cloud moved off towards Lutterworth.

Wouldn't mind a tornado around my neighbourhood, just to tidy it up a bit  ....earthquake would suffice.

That hail looks pretty damn scary!

I work 2 miles from Hinckley and we had about 30 seconds of heavy rain and that was all. It's weird how it can be so different so close.

We didn't have the hail that size up here in Newcastle, but we had a lot of water. If you have a look at my twitter account @khamelion69 I posted some photos. In you can just make out the roof of Z4 which was almost fully submerged. http://campl.us/krF0

What is normally a 15-20min journey home took over 4hrs, also you may have seen the footage of the Tyne Bridge being hit by lightening.

Funny thing the weather. Played 18 that day sunny and very warm, in Manchester. Got home in the evening and saw all that bad weather all around us. Yet it was the best day of the week here.

All bunkers at my place and the place I played on Sunday were GUR. The rest of the course has held up pretty well although some trees have shed branches!

It's been 40 degrees in ningbo, where I have been.

I got caught in a hail storm like that in Munich once. We took shelter in a shop door way, but all around us the hail was like tennis balls. It broke most of the shop windows, and the cars on the street looked like they had been attacked by a mad man with a hammer. Days before digital cameras on phones though, so no photos.
