Well I was all set up for my first round of the holidays, got up with the youngest and just about to take her down stairs for breakfast. Suddenly HID runs across the landing to the bathroom to the sound of her calling for Ralph down the big white telephone!! Nice, no golf for me today then! At least I get a whole day with my two girls which has its up & downsides!! Maybe tomorrow although the forecast is for rain!! Ah well she doesn't go back to work until the 9th so should have time to squeeze a few more in! Just need to get my last round in before Sunday to make it the 52nd one of the year!!

Was supposed to be playing today as well, wee girl gave me the cold and woke up this morning to 50mph wnds and lashing rain so decided to go to the shops instead

Not played for 6 weeks, following a heart attack, and I'm going stir crazy... please can I just go down to the practice area for 20 mins - Doc sez no, not yet.

Been promised some new blades but haven't even been down to be measured up........................ well gutted!

Managed 18 holes yesterday and enjoyed getting back out onto the course, like Chris its 5,000,000 mile an hour winds here today which should at least dry out the course a bit more!

Well by 1700 she was feeling better so managed to get out today for the last round of this year!! The new driver was going great, short game good but could do better. Irons were atrocious!! At least it didn't rain too much!! Back to do it all again Monday!

Hobbit, take it easy mate and listen to their advice. What about chipping and putting though? Surely that won't be too taxing (well my short game may cause another attack). Hope you get well soon and can get fitted for those nice new blades

Played a round with my son yesterday who is over for xmas and the new year with his wife and my two little grandsons from Chicago. It's the first game we have played together for just over a year and I enjoyed every second of it, every moment of his stay is so precuious.

I just got the wee girl a 9 iron and so far she thinks it is useful for hitting just about everything in the house. Been lashing rain pretty much since christmas so not had a chance to get her out with it yet but it goes everywhere with her
