Been hitting balls - putting on the living room floor! Really up for this season golfing...

HOWEVER went out last weekend stag night - All started messing about with a silly punch machine.... Boom broken hand and fingers :(

Hospital sunday to see the plastic surgeon he had to "stretch my fingers" back in to place most painful thing ever!

Looking like a while off golf.... GUTTED! anyone experienced this before know how long it will take to mend?!

No one likes to hear that. Be positive though - Easter is still 13 weeks away so you'll come back right at the start of the main season and I'm sure you'll be able to get a putter in your hand before then

Unlcuky - we were in Portugal about 4 yrs ago. One of the lads, a big builder, starts wailing this punch bag. One of the boys thinks I will have go, stumbles glances a blow on the bag then goes quiet. He has one more pint then says he is off back to the hotel. Saw him in the morning, turns out he broke is scaphoid ??? if thats how you say it spell it. Any way we had 3 days of the holiday left and all he did was ride round in buggies - we even had to cut his steak up in to pieces for him. I think he was out for two months !

They should bad these things for golfers

I had an altercation with a punch bag (6'5" 26st brother in law) and did the same to my middle knuckle on my right hand and was away from golf for a season. Even now when I clip a root or take too deep a divot it flares up for about a month.

My middle finger is now shorter than my ring finger.

These punchbag machines in nightclubs are a total joke and if I was still in the trade and it was one of my gaffs I wouldnt allow them.

They build up agression and testosterone and I have seen it go off over these things many times.

Shame about the injury though, thats why hand-wraps and bag-mits were invented, to prevent these things.
