I played on Sunday, had a chance of getting past 36 points, messed up the last 2, but came in on 36 exact.
I played today, and my game took on curious similarities to Sunday's. At first, I thought it was nothing, but as the game went on the Twilight zone music started getting stronger.

4 over after 9. 9 over after the 16th. One of each (par and bogey) on the last two to play to 10.

Luckily, this time I did better on the par 3 17th with a GIR 3 and stepped onto the last. I hit an identical tee shot (horrible thin runner) and had 155 over the water, over a tree short of the green. This time I just made sure I got over the water (which I didn't on Sunday), pitched on and 2 putted. So, I played to 10. Not bad for an average day's hitting, chipping and putting.

What's odd though is that these holes were almost identical.

1 2 4 6 9 10 11 12 14 15. Drives in the same places, same irons into the greens, same "misses" left/right/short/long, similar putts and similar outcomes.

I even took my stance over divots (repaired) from 3 days ago. I even hit an 8 iron on one hole, pull-hooked it left into the cabbage less than one yard from where I hit it before. This time I pitched it past the pin (not falling for that again!) but still 2 putted for bogey.

Questions....
1) should I book myself into the looney bin?
2) anyone had this before? (10 holes seems rather too many)
3) should I try to NOT visit these areas next time?

Really odd. I'm freaked out. :o

The only good news is that it was witnessed by a fellow forumer......he played well, winning by a shot (nett) but losing by a shot (gross).

Oh, and we were out there 2 hours 37 minutes.....not bad for 18. :)

Well done on your consistency, after all its what we are all looking for.Our first hole i seem to be in the same place a lot of times, but never ten.

I know. :o Ten is crazy....

I've blobbed the 5th hole at Bearwood Lakes every time I've played it except once.
Does that count?

I think it does if you blobbed it playing the same way every time!

Normally when I go out, I try to go to the opposite places where I went last time if it all went wrong.

That's why my record at the 6th at Royal Ascot is SO bad.
Short, long, left, bunker (right), OOB (left), bunker. etc.

:D :D
