I bought a 2nd hand set of titleist 775 cb's off here and love them, the thing is they have midsize grips with possibly a couple of layers of tape. I havent got massive hands but find them spot on and very comfortable to use.

My other clubs are off the shelf standard grips, would you have all clubs the same?

I am thinking it could be partly why I am so pants with my woods & hybrids as I must be gripping them different due to the grip thickness.

what do you reckon?

Mine are all in to be regripped this week, the main reason being the variety amongst them, I think it is essential you have them the same or as close to as possible. Also rather than having everything else changed to mid size Id talk to your pro as to what the right size is and get it right, ive ended up with 3 different sizes on irons and tried them all for a few days before deciding which one works best for me.

Had my first range session tonight after collecting my regripped clubs today - what a difference - literally like a new set of clubs.... Just wish i'd done it 6 months ago!

Size wise had a chat with the Pro and went with the same size grip on each

And some grips standard size are different to other manufacturers standard sizes...
And different style grips can feel thicker or thinner too.
I have GP New-Decade on my irons but one of my clubs has a Sharpro version and it's definitely thinner - same amount of tape......

have your grips all the same size mate, it gives you continuity through your bag - i recommend Gamola golf if you replacing your grips, check there website out

yeah my m8 is gonna regrip them for me, my irons have lamkin crossline on them, will order up some today.

I thought it should be done butthought I would get the general consensus 1st ;)

I'm lucky enough to have my clubs built for me, and at the fitting the bloke said to me, 'right I'm putting ladies grips on your clubs, but don't worry nobody will know any different'. Apparently because I have small hands and have been used to using standard grips, theres a tendancy for the odd club twisting at impact, because I had to grip tighter than normal. I tried a club with the new grip and immediatley felt and saw the difference.
