Grip marking

Hi,

I've looked in the rules but wanted to check;

What are the rules on marking a golf grip to get my hand into the same position each time I grip the club?

it's OK as long as -

1. it's done before you start your stipulated round, and you don't remove it during the round other than through normal wear.
2. it's doesn't create a ridge or raised area ie 2D only

Some of the Golf Pride grips have marks that indicate the thump positions.
