great lesson tonight, something is definitely clicking lately

following on from my range session with RickG last week and a good solid round on Sunday, tonight I had a lesson with my pro

Not had one for a few months but knew I needed some more help with my overall swing.

1st up he loves the new grip Rick, looks nice and neutral apparently

we worked mostly on the body turn and it was a nightmare at 1st, I am a very armsy golfer at the mo so trying to lead with the lower body was nails as the arms kept taking over, practised a few drills then hit a few balls... crap. Slowed it down a bit and suddenly I was hitting it sweet with a slight draw, got out the big stick and wow, what a difference, we worked on a setup routine so I can practice the pre swing as I do tend to forget a lot of things post lesson/range session. I am off down the range again Thursday to really practice the drills and got a nice little exercise to do at home (kids will look at me like I am a wierdo I guarantee it)

I have another lesson in a month so hopefully I will have bedded it in a bit by then. I may get a handicap cut yet

soz to waffle on but really feel like I am getting somewhere lately

Good news. I had a lesson on Sunday and beginning to see some positive feedback tonight. Still work to be doen but we'll see how we go.

haha, I think he always looks rather dapper in his golfing attire (not so sure about the tracing paper thin pink pants in the Trilby Tour pic though)

A lesson a month from a qualified PGA professional will bring your game on no end. Good news that you had positive lesson.
