I love watching the national but in recent years with all the fence changes it dosent seem quite the spectacle it was in days gone by.

Small (couple of £ e/w bets) on each.

Had e/w bets on 4 horses when Minnehoma won in the 90's. They actually finished in the order the I had written them on the betting slip. If I had a tricast or other multiple bet I would have won thousands. Spoke to the bookie afterwards - he was aware of my bet and very relieved that I only had them as singles. If I remember correctly, the first 3 had combined odds of 1,600/1 and the first 4 had combined odds of 40,000/1!!! Never have I been so gutted to have won a couple of hundred quid!

Won a little bit on Tiger Roll, could have been more but I decided to have more smaller bets than a few larger ones. Ended in profit though :thup:
