Can anyone tell me what A flex is, never heard of it before?

It's a slightly better result than B or C flex. Even better if it's got a little + next to it

Yeup. It's one below Reg

Maybe suit me better then as I'm slow but will it be whippy compared to Callaway Uniflex for example if I got them in graphite. Cant try them as Ebay buy.

They are similar to a ladies flex or soft regular.
If you could borrow a ladies club and see how it feels that will give you an idea if the A flex will suit you.
