Me and my mate Paul had the pleasure of playing Goswick with IM02 this morning ,after hearing good reports on here about it we were looking forward to it,and we were'nt dissapointed thats for sure.
Started of with 4 pars then someone turned the wind machine on full blast and that was end of my game only had 2 more pars after that. The holes into the wind were hard ,so much so my 3 wood nearly melted :).The course was in good nick for this time of year and the greens were spot and putted true.
It was good to watch Ivan hitting drivers of the deck into the wind and must of been round in 75 or 76 in that wind was pretty darne good.
Only had one dislike of the course and that was its to far from Dundee to play every week or nip out for 9 nine holes :D,anyway look forward to playing again soon.

Cheers again Ivan and you guys are more than welcome to a game at my place anytime just let me know .

Good to hear it Steve....I thought it was tomorrow it was planned for and couldn't do tomorrow but I could have done today!! Gutted I got mixed up as I would have enjoyed hooking up for a game. What was your most and least Fav holes?

Thats unfortunate Alan ,Ivan said it might have been to windy for you mate :D :D :D. Loved the Par 3 9th had to hit driver ,mad eh, disliked 18 hit good drive down the left and it hit the ridge and went right angles into the big fairway bunker.

We likened the course to The Valley course at Royal Portrush which is a great track in its own right thats how much i liked it as The Valley is one of my favourites.

Glad you enjoyed your day in what were extremely windy conditions even for Goswick...haven't used my driver as much in 1 round for quite some time but when 150yds into the wind was 3 wood you need to improvise..skycaddie certainly wasn't needed.
Defo be up for a game round your track sometime.

Wouldn't have been a problem to my penetrating ball flight.... ;)Some guys hate the last but for me every track needs a great risk and reward hole and that is it...you can make anything from 1 to 6 on it,just maybe a shame it comes as the last hole, convinced if it was the 15th folk would love it.
We will get you down again I'm sure.

Was just being picky ;) still made 4 tho ,would be a good matchplay hole do you lay up or go for it if the game was in the balance. Will look forward to coming back ,will have a look for when your Open is next year and if i'm not working i'll come down for it.

Yep, nowhere near the cross bunkers. Quite benign when we played, but I did par the 17th. Which reminds me of my only criticism of a great track, the 17th green is a tad too close when driving off the 18th tee as I recall. Great soup and sarnies in the clubhouse.
