Good, Mindless Entertainment

I watched the film Pacific Rim the other day. Not going to win any oscars, basic plot but stunning effects and on a massive scale and was just good, mindless entertainment and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Perfect accompaniment for a curry and a couple of beers.

So, what nominations do we have for top, mindless films. The sort of film that is not at all worthy, the plot could be written on a page of a4 but are a fun way of spending a couple of hours.

If you don't mind a bit of blood and needless gore. Django unchained is an utterly brilliant watch.

Completely disagree - we're talking mindless entertainment here - A Good Day to Die Hard is as good as that gets.

Agree with the Expendables and would add both RED films to the list.
