Walking through Bristol on Saturday night on our way to dinner, F-I-L notices something on the floor that some "youths" ahead of us were eying up.

Turned out to be a wallet containing a debit card and £340 cash. We picked it up and handed it to the local bobby's who drove past as we were trying to figure out where the nearest police station was.

Hope the bloke it belonged to gets it back.

My Dad found a wallet once. Had about £200 in it, and some cards. It also had a ladies name and address. It was only about 3 streets away, so later on in the day, he takes the dog for a walk, so he can return it.

He rings the door bell, whilst holding the wallet in his other hand. Bit of a pause, and the door opens. She looks at him, snatches the wallet out of his hand, and slams the door in his face. Not a word spoken.

That's gratitude, that is.

I once found an Iphone on our course and handed it in behind the bar, I also rang the local police station to let them know in case anyone came in looking for it. A few days later I was at the club and this young lad comes up to me to say thanks for handing his phone in. He gave me a thankyou card that had £20 in, I told him not to worry about it and tried to give him the money back but he said it was a small price to pay compared to the b***ocking he got from his Mum & Dad.

I hope you then reported him for using an Iphone on the course, resulting in him being disqualified....

Good on you!

I lost my phone in a taxi Sunday afternoon.

Luckily the driver rang this morning saying he had found it.

I left an expensive camera and gear in the footwell of a taxi on a trip from the local station to home. Got hold of the driver the next morning and, of course, there was no sign of it!

Thieving so and so!

Chris

By the time it got back to the station the wallet probably only had the debit card in it. ;)

Well done though, you did the right thing for sure!

I once went to sit down on a bus and saw a £20 note laying on the seat. I handed it to the driver at the next stop who looked at me like I was mad! My conscious was clear at the end of the day but I'm not sure about the drivers...

hmmm wel after reading this i now feel bad for what i did last year haha

flew back from prague after a mates stag doo, put hand in netting to make sure i got everything from the seat and found a wallet with czech licsense banks cards etc that belonged to a dr.. but also had £60 in cash... needless so say like an honest citizen i handed the wallet and all the cards in.

I remember when I was about 12 on holiday down south with my parents I was swimming in the outdoor pool at the hotel and noticed something on the bottom of the pool do swam down to have a look.

Turned out to be a £20 and £10 note!

Don't have a clue how it got their but I had fun in the arcades for the rest of my holiday spending it.

I tried to get some scrots on the train arrests who had clearly been on the rob and removed the clothes hangers and hid them on the train.

The polish attendant couldn't understand what I was saying to her and said...maybe they bought them...yeah, 10 of the same t shirt on the hangers in a random rucksack. So she didn't other contacting the station ahead

Made me think...what's the point

Yeah that Karma stuff will get you.
Years ago a mate used to race greyhounds I went to the track with him one night as he was sure his dog would win, I had £40 to my name and intended to put £20 on the mutt (I couldn't afford to lose £20 but my mate seamed certain it was a winner) As I joined the queue at the tote window clutching my £20 note I noticed another twenty pound note lying on the ground in front of me, Idid the tie my shoelace thing and palmed the note. At the window I put £40 on the dog and hurried away to watch the race feeling rather pleased with myself.

The dog finished down the field and we retired to the bar in discust I ordered two pints and reached into my pocket for my remaining £20, yeah you guessed it, no £20, the one on the floor at the tote window was mine.
