Good Deal on Wilson Staff FG Tour M3 Golf Driver

Great. I hope they are as good for you as this one is for me. What shaft option have you gone for - I'm guessing a stiff with your handicap?

Yes, I went for the NL60 in the driver and the stiff 65 in the 3 wood. To be honest I'm pretty clueless when it comes to shafts and such like. Living where I do it's pretty hard to try before you buy so I just tend to get what I like the look of.

I have only just begun to understand the ins and outs of shaft selection. What I have learnt though is that as the swing speed comes down, the shaft needs to be more flexible - all other things being equal. I'm 62 now and there is no doubt my swing speed is pretty low.

I just saw your location, at least you get maximum summer daylight playing time there!

According to online tracking the clubs have been delivered, shame I'm at work until 5. Also snow forecast for overnight and the next couple of days so might not get a hit with them this weekend.

Managed to get out for a hit this afternoon. I didn't bother adjusting the clubs just used them as they were straight out of the box. Driver was set at 9.5 degrees with the lightest weight. Aldila say this shaft is their lowest launching and I would agree with this. I can definately notice a difference between this and my old D100, much more penetrating ball flight which is what I was looking for. It's also feels heavier than the D100. To be fair today probably wasn't the best to out trying new clubs as it was quite windy and also I haven't hit a ball since the start of January. But initial results were good and I'm looking forward to playing about with the settings. One slight criticism would be the hosel which is a bit chunkier than you would probably see on other adjustable models but I would say this club is definately worth trying if your looking for a new driver.
