I have played a lot of different sports in my past, a game of golf is more different than most others. It's the same tennis court, squash court, snooker table, dart board, athletic track etc. etc.. With golf every course is different, your own course plays different every day depending on the weather, wind direction and strength, pin placement, speed of the greens and so many more.
I love the differences and the challenges i'm faced with each time, connot get enough. What other affordable sports come close.

I agree with everything other than the last sentence. This is the most expensive sport I've ever played!!!

Noticed you put darts in your list of sports. At the risk of provoking people, I wouldn't class it as that!

Of the top of my head

Sailing, wind and water conditions

Motocross, different tracks, weather conditions, track condition dry/wet/ tacky, differnet soil types, sand, clay, chalk, the track changes every lap after 40 bikes have ripped it to pieces, faces of jumps change and landing areas, bike weight changes from lap to lap, rider gets tired, could go on and on for this one

I have to agree with the "expensive sport" sentiment.

don't get me wrong, I love golf and I love playing new courses, but golf is the reason I am poor right now!

It doesn't have to be exensive and ok I'll concede your point on darts.

I used to sail, criusing and racing now that is a very expensive sport, but I still think there more variables in golf.
