Golf in The Azores, anyone been?

My society are planning a weeks trip to The Azores in Sept 2024.

Anyone been there? , played there?

Have one day with no golf so options of whale watching or sea fishing.

Very tempted

I'm a retired firefighter, I can't even afford to look up where the Azores are never mind play there.

I’m a trade plate driver on a bit above minimum wage, my mum left me a decent amount and this is how I choose to spend it.

I've been. It's an interesting place, but an odd spot to choose for golf.
We did whale watching. It's seasonal, but we did see a number of sperm whales and dolphins.
Also did an interesting tour of the various volcanic landscapes.
It's a pretty quiet, low key kinda place.

When I wer a lad we live in a shoe box in't hole in't road.

We were so poor my brother was knitted by the WVS and pushed through the letterbox when no one was looking.

( The Azores? Transitted through there with several military aircraft and 50 odd colleagues- went for a beer - can’t remember much else)
