As we're on this theme today, opinions on golf in the big canary? Been a lot of years since we've gone there and it will probably be easter's hols, but never golfed there.

Any opinions, especially on Maspalomas?

Maspalomas is fine. Good course, pretty flat but interesting. I played it twice in February this year and it was in good condition. I played with a young pro' who shot -1 there. I also played Meloneras which is pretty tricky, and many say that you will lose a lot of balls there, but if I recall correctly, I didn't lose any. They make you share buggies at Meloneras so if you have someone who is just along for the ride, (as my wife was) then you have to take account of this. I had to forego my final round there on account of this.
