I am getting a tad nervous about Friday as I havent played for a couple of weeks and can not stop thinking about that first tee shot lol, might have to take a pitching wedge to just get the ball straight
Par 3's used to be my nemesis....didnt matter if it was a 75yd or 200yd par 3, the result would always be the same.
Short or wide of the green off the tee, and the 1 thing that I can point to that has completely changed my game is getting the GPS unit and knowing exactly what yardage I have to play with between front & back of the green.
Instead of looking at the scorecard and seeing 1 distance and basing your club selection on this, I now have 3 yardages to look at and it gives me a choice of 3 clubs to use depending on conditions and/or hazards etc.
There is 2 courses at forest park parmo,a 9 hole course with par 3/4+5's and the 18 hole course.1st hole on 18 hole is a dogleg right par 4,2nd hole depending how far back you tee off is a tricky tee shot(ob right!) par 4.
Cool thanks, we are playing the 9 holer then some brekkie and then 18 holes and a meal. I have seen the layout for the second and it looks pretty tight drive, might be a 4i or hybrid for me.
