Scottish football is a bit of a joke really. A two team league riddled with bigotry.

You can keep it.

That said, I would like to see Rangers and Celtic in the Premier League. It would add a bit of interest and I am certain that one of them would be relegated in their first season.

That said the premier league is a 3 team league riddled with pish and hatred.

Nothing like a bit of cabin fever to get the thread count up on here over the last few weeks......

Madandra if Big Jock kick Lenno back to Ireland we would have kicked him back up to Norther Ireland where all the gingers stay. We dont let them cross the border

Adi2 if your friend got hit by a coin thrown by a celtic fan it was probally an old "punt" or a Euro as according to some on here all Celtic fans are Irish. Bet he also wasnt from Cavan as they all still have their communion money

Also are you saying my Da is "scum" cause he supports Celtic and I brought him over for a game(his only trip to Scotland) a few years ago for his 60th?

Your argument is like a tea bag....not full of holes but full of brown dribble....

As a 40 year old Motherwell fan I can honestly say that its been 20+ years since I have seen any trouble in Fir Park. I was at FP last week watching them against Duffdee United and the 'casuals' were about 16 and dressed from Mat Alan.

The only thing driving the Old Firm on is bigotry and hatred for each other. The funny thing is they are so much alike its scarey.

God had created heaven and earth and as a final flourish he decided to make the perfect country, which when he finished he called.... Scotland.
But he was quickly made aware of the jealousy of the other countries around so to redress the balance he made the Scots.... :p ....and the weather.

Sadly its all down to a few ignorant people who make broad generalisations without engaging their brains first.

Having read this thread and wet my pants with laughter,i find it hard that a so called " Hibee Foot Soldier" can slag anyones football team rather than not mention his own.

The OP has forgotten what it was like to Easter Road where they would meet you at the bridge, pelt you with bottles ,bricks and anything else they could lay there hands on, talk about scum, oh and then they would run.

One word to describe you mate ,KNOB

I use to go to a lot of football back in the 80's with Fulham when hooliganism was rife. I never went with a firm but it was an ever present threat even for those travelling on organised coach/rail trips. Funnily enough it was always the kiddies that were the greatest problem trying to man up for the real thugs. Most of the time the proper "boys" weren't interested or necessarily condoned their actions as it just aroused police activity and spoilt their owned planned "fun".

The only time I ever had any real bother was coming out of Pompey when my mate and I got jumped by 6-7 teenagers. Managed to get out of the area (anyone who knows Pompey will know the dangers in those narrow side streets back to Fratton station) with a few lumps but took the cowardly way out and made sure we stood close to the police presence for reassurance until the train arrived.

I dont care about Scottish or Irish League football, in fact football as a whole is getting a bit boring. A few years ago there was an offer in our paper to go to Ibrox to see Rangers play a friendly against Arsenal. It was a good price so I got the tickets and took my 2 sons over on the boat then a bus up to Ibrox. We were really looking forward to seeing the Mighty Gunners play a match. Everything was great until Arsenal scored. I couldn't beleive what I heard. I'm no snob but this was a friendly to raise money for Rangers and give the "home" fans a fun match. I WILL never be in Ibrox or any other Scottish stadium ever ever again. Arsenal won the game 3 nil, so we were happy.
If thats what its like during a friendly, there is no way on earth I would go to an OF game.....

Shows the mentality of the poster who has the cheek to have a pop at over fans for their lack of decorum! Pot and Kettle I fear has never been more appropriate.

OK, last post from me on this thread, it seems to be going round in circles.

Farneyman, I wouldnt classify your dad as a supporter at all, he's been the Scotland once and therefore Parkhead once, more of a fan watching from his armchair.

Steve, I've admitted Hibs have numbnuts in their support, 25 years ago the CCS were the biggest firm in Scotland (alongside Aberdeen) since the 90's though, they have faded away to an extent they are irrelevant, we still have our fair share of morons though.

As I've said, I've got mates and relatives who support Celtic and to a lesser extent Rangers, I love them, they love me and this is a conversation we have ad infinitum, there never will be a right or wrong, just polarised opinions, Celtic fans think they are the greatest fans in the World, away supporters at Parkhead think differently.

And if you get offended at girfuy craw, you're an awfy delicate wee soul.

No I just take umbrage at your sweeping generalisation of Old Farm fans being scum when you can admit freely that the Easter Road following have their own problem element.

Does that mean that your scum because your going to get tarred with the same brush in other supporters eyes?

You've come on here to gloat at a fantastic result against one of the bigot brothers yet turned it into a monster because of your own stupidity and ignorance. Quite frankly I feel that you have got away lightly.
