Wouldn't that be nice..... but I fear the agenda was always Federalist and trade barrier removal was the first step on that path.

That's why my good friend "Swing it like Hogan" is missing something in the post below in my opinion. The disintegration of the EU in current guise is an excellent thing... Post this, maybe we can get back to proper Trade with each other, being nice to each other, etc etc WITHOUT all the "lets set up a country and hope no one notices" cobblers!

But some people ARE mad and stupid? My being Christian can't fix that for them. Though I can pray for them. And often do pray for people who do mad, stupid or nasty things.

Either that or you think you've spotted - once again - a proof that we who voted Remain think that ALL who voted Leave are completely barmy idiots. Which of course is absolutely not the case, but I suspect that you'd want me to think that they were. Barmy idiots that it. yaaaaawn.

The problem with you is you insult people and then take a step away saying you don't. Your type of religious beliefs belong in the bible belt of America with your continue "I am right, You are wrong attitude and referring to those that have apposing views as mad, stupid, racist, right wing" when the only true right wing mentality is the one shown by you.

Of for goodness sake - you have absolutely no understanding on my religious beliefs and to compare them with those of the US Bible belt is an insult and I will ask you to withdraw it immediately.

Reminds me of when I went to watch City v Monaco a couple of months ago. There were two bladdered guys/thugs behind me that spent the entire second half abusing two French fans. They were calling all things French, garlic bread, onions, chock au lait. Frogs legs, snails French fries when there chips, Renault, Citroen,
Blackpool tower is better than the Eiffel Tower, which apparantly it's made of stickle bricks. It stopped being funny when they threatened to cave the two French lads heads in. They went 10 mins before the end. When we went to watch Monaco v City in Monaco, there fans were fantastic towards us.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with me stating that I believe I am on the RIGHT side of an argument. It is frankly ludicrous that some get upset by that. Upset taken suggests uncertainty and doubt. But that is their issue not mine. I will not stop saying that I believe that I am on the right side of such as the Brexit argument. I cannot say otherwise until I change my mind and support Leaving. I am certainly on the WRONG side of the Brexit vote :)

I do not get very upset by anything - but to be told my views are akin to those of the US Bible Belt. Well go look up Westboro Baptist Church and their views and see why I might get just an itty-bitty upset by being lumped in with such as that church.

An apology is due but I won't lose sleep over not getting one.

Mmm, can I suggest you walk a mile in the shoes of those you criticise and try and understand why they respond, note respond, to you calling them stupid and mad.

Sorry - I think it is ludicrous to castigate me for saying that I think some people can be stupid and mad in their thinking. And in this specific case I suggested that those I have heard being upset about the French Presidential election because they want the EU to crash and burn, and when that happens they will rejoice. I did NOT aim the comment at any specific individual or group of individuals here. I did NOT aim it at all Leavers - I was very clear on that. It just seems to suit some to take it that I WAS aiming the comment at them.

Because frankly I think that anyone who truly wants the EU to crash and burn is stupid and mad in their thinking. In my opinion were the EU to crash and burn that would be terrible for a Brexitted UK, and absolutely catastrophic for european security - both against external and internal terrorist threats and for future european stability.

And I have just heard the presenter on LBC telling a caller that his idea of zero immigration as being ludicrous - complete rubbish - it's a fantasy. What do we call someone who holds such thoughts as true, realistic and achievable. I suggest stupid and mad are not too wide of the mark. Oh yes - I have actually just heard the UKIP immigration spokesman call some of UKIPs supporters IDIOTS for wanting zero immigration.

You are entitled to your views, but when it gets to the point that they are continuously being rammed down peoples throats, which makes the forum as a whole suffer, then action will be taken.

Don't forget it is us who supported Remain who are being told to 'get over it you remoaners; you lost; stop whinging; stop moaning; stop trying to undermine the will of the British People, you traitors' and so tediously it goes on. No matter what is said or asked about an outcome that no one can yet define I am told I am WRONG - and it is that or a similar response that is rammed down MY throat.

When I start hearing some answers and getting some substance about what we actually want to achieve from Brexit the n maybe I'll stop asking. Until then I will keep asking and saying that I believe that Brexit is going to be a terrible mistake.

How about you give the negotiators a chance to actually do some negotiating and then you can have your say on the result of the negotiations, all you are doing at the moment is continually moaning about the result, commenting on leaks and hearsay and stirring the pot.

Here is the crux, no negotiator worth his salt is going to divulge what they have up their sleeve until such time as they have something to report. Until then you are piddling in the wind,

Nobody knows how the negotiations will turn out, there is a hiatus now because of the GE, but you do need to stop harping on about the result, we know your views, we just dont need to have them rammed down our throats every 5 minutes.

The political threads are getting tedious to read and that affects the forum, in that instance we will take action either against the individuals or by closing threads
 
Well no apology for being lumped in with the likes of Westboro Baptist Church due to having Bible Belt views. None expected - none received - what have I got to complain about. Nothing.

Anyway - with Angela Merkel's CDU sweeping aside their main opposition the SPD in that parties heartland - looks like Merkel is set for a victory in the up-and-coming German Chancellor election.

So Mrs Strong and Stable fronted by Davey and The DExEUs will be up against an EU negotiating team backed up by the formidable strength of a Macron-Merkel EU axis. A pairing that are determined to ensure a strong and stable EU. What price the UK getting a great free trade deal with the EU...well I suppose nobody has yet proven that unicorns don't exist.
