Jezster, I'm afraid the clubs sold tonight. I got a PM earlier from a guy who lives local. I met him up at the practice area at my club, he hit a few balls and bought them on the spot.....he played 3 balls one of the holes on our par 3 course (approx 160 yds)...... 1 just wide, 1 to about 6 feet and nearly holed one!!!!!!

Ah thats a shame. Just back from the range, they let me use a 6 iron of a 2nd hand set (said the MX 200 were discontinued?) and have to say I hit it really nicely. Seemed to give me a little extra yardage (well thats my perception, dont know it its accurate). Was regularly carrying 180 yards with it, which is longer than I normally hit a 6 iron, and it was a nice high ball too. I really liked it.
Oh well, I'll keep my wilsons for the time being, and then maybe at the end of the year I will have a proper fitting session at the range and see what they suggest.
It was slightly longer than my 6 iron though, by about 2-3 inches, so wondered whether they were standard or whether they were a pre built set for a taller person?

I can highly recommend a Mizuno fitting session at New Malden.
It's free, fun, and you learn a lot about your swing and the effect different heads/shaft combination have on ball flight, carry and overall distance.
The guys there are super knowledgeable and there is absolutely no pressure to buy. They give you your spec sheet at the end and you are free to go anywhere you want to buy the clubs if you decide to go ahead.
Sounds like you should have bought those second clubs they let you try if you were hitting them that far!! How much were they asking?
