Football Championship Playoffs

It wwas a great game to watch, I will admit forest were a bit unlucky but oh well, I think swansea was the better teams thought-out the 2 games, so good luck to swansea in the final, and forest see you next season!!! :D:D

Are you allowed to comment on a play off thread ? Remind me where your lot finished, and how many points you took off Reading. :)

yer i admit we done crap this season, but if it helps i want Reading to win the play-offs. and that is one of the easiest questions i can answer, the answer is 0 :( :(

The first ever game i went to was Carlisle v Leicester at Brunton Park in the late 60's. Peter Shilton was playing one of his first games for Leicester, and he was absolutely brilliant.

Good game, and Forest were very unlucky. Not only did they hit the post in injury time, they should have had a penalty just before Swansea scored their third.

Wanted Forest to win as i don't fancy our chances against Swansea, assuming we beat Cardiff. Brendon Rogers knows too much about our players.

Very unlucky? Small understatement! Two stonewall penalties (the first especially so when he booked Gunter for the same offence seconds later and yellow cards him!) that weren't given, hit the bar, post and whatever else numerous times. The second penalty was about as blatant as I've seen!

I feel pretty robbed to be honest. The officiating was terrible, but I cannot be prouder of the boys in Red this season. I feel pretty disappointed as I feel we did enough to go through but the football gods obviously had other ideas and nothing went our way.

Oh well, I'll be cheering on Reading from here on and hope that Swansea get their comeuppance against whoever they face in the final.

On the bright side, I'll look forward to battering the dirty sheep and the foxes in the midland derbys again next season :D

Looks like the end of the road for the likes of McGugan and chambers at the very least, which is a shame. Both outstanding players Who will be sorely missed :(

Ah, the selective memory of a football fan. Was the referee to blame for Swansea passing it round you all night?

All night?

They barely saw the ball in the second half. The 1st half they played great football and thoroughly deserved their two goals (two great goals). I did think we were unlucky to not equalise having hit the bar and post no less than 4 times.

Look, I'm not saying we played a perfect game of football, but when their centre-back reaches up with both hands to block the ball from going in the goal (it was a great save BTW), I'd really appreciate the rules being adhered to. Especially when the linesman has a clear view of it.

I'll accept the 1st half penalty appeal being a judgement call (even though it really wasn't, and we were penalised for the same infringement seconds later), but the one in the last minute was clear as day. We played well enough to stay in the game playing at the statistically hardest place to go and score in the entire league.

I couldn't be prouder of the way the team responded after going 2-0 down, I'm just saying that I'm really not sure how we weren't given a penalty in the last minute and it could have made a massive difference to the outcome.

Onwards and upwards, just means we'll have to settle for another season in the best league in the world. ;)

Damm!!!!

It was only last week you were raving about how great he was, I hope Billy Davies doesnt change his mind as quick as you! :D

Only joking. He's alright if he can stay motivated, but I think he thinks he's better than he is. Alright for a bit of depth at the right price though.

I'm more gutted that McGugan and Chambers will most likely be out of here. I would keep Kris Boyd if it meant we could keep them. Not having them next season will weaken our squad considerably :(

Very unlucky? Small understatement!

Of course it was a Small understatement, do you really think i would tell the truth when it comes to forest losing. :( :(

:D

If I'm honest, I really don't really have too much of a problem with Leicester City so me and you are cool mate ;)

D*rby C(o)unty however, is a different story altogether.
