I had a very flat swing myself, taken me almost 2 years to get rid. Was the cause of my shermans a lot of the time.

I only picked up a club for the first time 6 years ago at 42 so age is no reason you cant get lower. I found it straight forward to get down to 8 with that swing, but could not get lower and shoot more consistent scores with it. Had lessons and been using a SwingGyde.

I would say if you just want to play and are not that bothered about getting low stick with it, I only changed as I want to get down to cat 1 if possible.

I have a flat 3/4 swing but I'm heading for 47 and have a shoulder injury that prevents me from carrying out a full swing.

Although I am working on my swing I'll only make minor adjustments as I hit the ball quite well and I'm reasonably happy with the way I play.

Distance isn't an issue and neither is accuracy so if you're the same as me don't worry about it and work with what you've got.

Incidentally, I now know I have a one plane swing. Thanks Holmer :D
