Having attempted over the last couple of months to to become involved in the forum I have now decided it is time to depart.
However, before I do I thought I might at least list the five strands & threads I will definitely not miss:-

1. "I can drive it 325 yards 99.9% of the time."
2. Definitive lessons from guys never likely to get their handicap below 12.
3. Recommendations for all clubs to dumb down and become Fun Pubs with a golf-course.
4. A lack of understanding by so many of the problems faced by Committees & Proprietors.
5. Members with an opinion/fact to suit every situation. Honestly, 20,000 posts!!

So, having got that off my chest it only remains to wish you all a fond adieu and may all your problems be solved by stacking & tilting.

42 posts in over two years is getting invoved.
That was the point of my first sentence. Having not visited the site for two years I commenced posting in Dec' 2011.
Is that clear enough.

why highlight your departure? If I decided to leave these forums I bet no-one would notice, same applies to you.Why not just feck off in silence?

Sorry I should obviously have looked up your posting history before replying to your post. Presumably you are going to hang around long enough to ensure that your post is as exciting as the ones you list in your initial post ?

Playground flounce alert. Just do it and stay gone rather than popping back to see how this thread is going then. Or are we going to have one of those long drawn out farewells.

Don't really understand the point of this thread.
If you don't like certain threads then don't read them.
It's certainly no reason to leave the Forum but if that's the way you feel then - Hey, it's your loss.
If I ever leave I wouldn't make a Song and Dance about it...

And what's the problem with having a large post count - you're obviously refering to Homer.
You may not like everything he - or Murph, Smiffy, Bob, Myself, Viscount etc etc - has to say but at least we have something to say.

Bye.
