Wow!

What a surreal experience. This was the first time I've seen myself swing a golf club! It all makes so much more sense when you are being told to change something, when you can actually see what you are doing and why changing it will improve your swing. Turns out I was too slouched over the ball, so I've to work on my posture first of all. Bend the knees more, stick the bum out a bit and lift my chin so that I'm almost looking down my nose to the ball at address. Also, I have a tendency to 'dip' on the downswing and to lean back slightly on the follow through.

On the upside, the Pro told me that I have a lovely natural movement, with very good eye to ball coordination and a good rhythm.

So, practice, practice, practice and see if it has improved by the time of my next lesson.

If anybody hasn't had a video lesson, I'd strongly recommend it.

Surely you don't need to improve :). I don't video every session as there isn't much change week in week out but I do it once every three or four weeks and load it onto the V1 software to check things like address and posture.

I booked a series of lessons with the Pro at my club. The deal was if you bought 5 half hour lessons for £100, you got an extra 3 lessons free!! So, 1 down and 7 to go.

I had one last year at St Andrews it cost £65 for an hour the pro videod my swing then showed me where i was going wrong he then showed me how to sort it then videod it again then drew the plane lines on it , it was money well spent as i dropped from 12 to 10 in 3 weeks .But you have to put the practice in or its not worth it , the pro emailed the session to me with the screen split into to to show before and after and explained where i made improvements , well worth it.

Did you get this done at St Andrews golf school? If so can you tell me who the pro was? Was it a chap called Garry Forrester? How much was it? Thanks
