Hi everyone, was wondering if you could give me some general info on carrying clubs...and wether or not i should brace myself!

I've always used a trolley before, and last weekend (having bought a brand new battery, and using it for weeks with a broken top hinge..essentially the handle was like pumping water!), it finally gave up completely...one of the mechanical parts is knackered and i have decided to invest in a carry bag.

I bought a Mizuno Aerolite Micro (1.5kg!) and i was wondering is it as hard work as im thinking in my head? I see hundreds of golfers every weekend carrying bags, and perhaps my judgement may have something to do with the fact that my Titleist RC08 cart bag weighs an absolute tonne!

Thanks for reading!

IF you're bag has the dual strap option like a back pack then you should be pretty comfotable carrying your bag, if it only has a single strap and you bag is relatively heavy you might find you back starts to ache.

When I carry mine, it only has one strap and the small of my back aches like hell, so I find I put my arm around the bag to support the weight like I was carrying a roll of carpet.

I'm hoping Santa brings me a new bag for Chrimbo :)

Cheers
Dave

Thanks for the reply Dave :)

I guess im lucky, in that it has a dual shoulder "Aero strap".

My clubs themselves arent heavy, and the bag is as light as a feather!

I always carry at min as I dont own a trolley. My bag weighs a bit more than yours and I could easily carry it for 2 rounds in a day. This is with a dual shoulder strap by the way.

Your should be fine.

I recently bought a Mizuno Aerolite bag as well, having had a trolley, non electric, for last few years. Have to admit that I have been surprised how good I have felt after the round. Wasn't expecting that !!!
The only thing I am more careful about is what I keep in it. Less balls and general rubbish. Usually have umbrella, waterproofs and a lucozade and water bottle. Still not too heavy.
Sure will enjoy it and your health should be better as well.

You really shouldn't have a problem, I use my pull trolley when my back plays up. Over the winter I carry all the time as it drives me made at our course as within about the 30 yds of the green there is the White line of do not pass with trolley and the route is usually a long way round. As said just make sure you only have packed what you need.

I like to carry when it's raining.
For some strange reason I get all stressed with a powakaddy and brolly holder???
Actually I think I have a golf bag fetish, I have two different callaway stand bags, a ping moonlite pencil bag, a powakaddy deluxe cart bag and get my new H2n0 staff cart bag tomorrow.

I like to carry it just seems to be less hassle and less shoe leather. A half set and a pencil bag is the way forward come winter.

Seen the new titleist pencil bags :o ?

Steve...

I've taken to carrying again recently too, after using a trolley for the past couple of years. Truth is, I bought a smaller car recently and the carry bag fits in fine without having to fold the back seats down, whereas the trolley bag and trolley don't!!

I have always carried with no prob, in the past. But I've just started back after neck and shoulder problems. Nothing to do with carrying I must add. So I've just got a cheep push/pull trolly just incase.
