Took the dog out yesterday evening, snow is uncommon with us on the mild west coast so nice to see it, always adds a bit of light to a dark day too. Love a walk in cold crisp weather.

That's taken less than a mile east of Oban seafront on the edge of Glencruitten Forest, I had to adjust exposures for darkness later and its just a phone shot so resolution is lost, Glencruitten (Oban) golf club just down the hill in front, island of Mull is white in distance.

I live a mile and a bit from there (as the crow flies).

Like anywhere - pros and cons.

Since the NT for Scotland cut the forestry down the deer are much easier to spot photo in Glen Etive
My last visit was about 20 months ago and some were in touching distance from my car. The big stags are fearsome beasts, you would not want to spill their pint.
