So - today was the day....... 11:30am at Turnhouse GC
all in all a mixed bag - started the day by watching the temperature on the gauge in the car plummet to 3* as I neared the course, that combined with the drizzy mist made for a brisk walk, interrupted by playing some shots
Like many before me my nicely tuned range swing went AWOL which resulted in my soft drawn mysteriously morphing into a soft fade, which was more than a little disconcerting!!!!
It was the first time that either of us had played the course so the mixture of blind tee shots, blind approaches (no strokesaver type cards, just the v basic hole number & length) and temp greens nowhere near the proper ones resulted in us both being overly conservative in our play, but overall..... I bogeyed every single hole with the exception of 2 holes where I a) found a big thorny bush for an unplayable lie and b) overclubbed an approach & flew a green over a wall into a farmers field OOB..... so am relatively pleased with the day FIR = 12 from 13

Looking forward to next weekend when we continue our audition process for a club to join this year
