My back seems to be better so It's finally time to go for a bounce game tonight after 6 weeks of nothing... I don't care if it rains, i don't care if it's windy, i don't care if it's busy and i don't care what i score... I'll just be so glad to be out swinging a club on a golf course again!

hopefully i feel the same way in the morning!

:)

you're right... it is a strange wee world! I was trying to explain that exact point to my almost 2 year old daughter just this morning ;)

Actually, another (and the best) benefit of the back working again, is being able to pick her up again. It was horrible not being able to do that.

That was the worst bit when my back was out at the end of last year. (not being able to pick my son up, rather than your daughter ;) )

Christmas morning was the worst, I was on the sofa and couldn't get on the floor to be in amonst his toys, he got the Millennium Falcon and I really wanted to play with it...I mean build it up for him to play with!

As for the golf I found my play improved in the first few rounds, my swing was a little slower and more controlled.

Good luck, and don't push it.

No doubt you enjoyed your round tonight Slugger, and hope the old back has held out.
Do you carry or have an electric trolley? I've had back problems, (nothing too serious mind), in the past but since buying electric, have not had any problems and definitely don't feel as tired after a round. More importantly though, it's a matter of self/back preservation.

Golfmmad.

well.....

that's me just back in and it went kind of like this...

The weather was not pleasant but we decided to head out anyway. Started off with some stretches and got down to it. Pulled my first tee shot left but it went miles. Ended up with a treble bogey 7 but put it aside as i was hitting the ball well, just a bit too far approaching the green which put me in trouble!!!! 2nd hole, lost 3 balls in the bundai and struggled to keep the smile on the face....

then - it happened. It just clicked. The back felt good and over the next 9 holes i scored 37!!!!!! My best 9 holes of golf... period! Over the moon. Decided to call it quits when the rain came down again and finished off with a bogey 4 but didn't mind, i was so happy to be out playing again and even happier playing that well after basically no practice for 6 weeks!

The greens at the course are a vast improvement over the last time i played as well so that's another bonus as i'm looking forward to playing them again. Bring on the weekend and more golf!

Wow - winner all round. Played well and the back held up. Thats not a cue to rush it though so listen to your body even though you're probably itching to get back out there. Gald it went well though

Cheers for all the good wishes!!! much appreciated. Back is a bit stiff this morning, but totally pain free - I am over the moon. Just need to keep the exercises and stretching up and i reckon it's gonna be fine!

I think the days of me carrying a bag, even just for a quick few holes, are behind me though, as i don't want to take any risk going back to where i was a few weeks back. The hillbilly is going to see a lot more use!
